【番外編】香川・高松うどん旅!現地で見つけたおすすめ4選

ども、YAPIです。
うどんといえば香川県の讃岐うどん!
どんぐり嫁は北九州出身なので資さんうどん推しですが、それはそれとしてコシ強めの讃岐うどんも好き。
そういえば香川県って行った事ないね〜という話になったので、週末うどん旅に行ってきました!
香川出身の友人情報と、移動中に巡り合ったお店の中からおすすめをご紹介です。

Hello, I’m YAPI.
When it comes to udon, it’s got to be Sanuki udon from Kagawa!
My partner, Donguri Yome, is from Kitakyushu, so she recommends Su-san Udon, but I also love the strong texture of Sanuki udon.
We were talking about how we’ve never been to Kagawa, so we decided to take a udon trip this weekend.
I’ll share some recommendations based on information from local friends, the “SAVVY” magazine feature, and Google!

箱の大きなロードサイド店!地元の人に愛される「とんぼ」


一軒目は高松市の郊外にある大型店「とんぼ」さん。
車移動中、 お昼前なのに広い駐車場にばんばん車が入っていっているのを見て吸い込まれるように入ってしまったお店。
店内も広く、明るくてキレイ。
家族連れや部活帰り、仕事休憩な地元の人がひっきりなしに入ってました。
注文カウンターにも普通に数十人並びますが、セルフなのもあり注文のさばきが早い!
客席も多いのでサクサク進みます。

The first place we visited was “Tombow,” a large restaurant located in the suburbs of Takamatsu.
While driving, I noticed a lot of cars pulling into the spacious parking lot even though it was just before lunchtime, so I was drawn in.
The interior was also spacious, bright, and clean.
There were families, students coming back from club activities, and local people on their work breaks coming in one after another.
Even though there were dozens of people in line at the ordering counter, the self-service system made it efficient, and we were able to get seated quickly since there were plenty of tables.


注文したのは「ひやかけ(小)」250円。
ネギや天かす、生姜、ゴマなどはセルフです。
温かいうどんの場合は湯がいたり「つゆ」を入れるのもセルフでした。
小さい製麺所のセルフうどんはハードル高めですが、こちらはお店も大きいのでセルフ湯がきも楽しそう。

つやつやで角もしっかりした麺が美味しそうでしたが、予想通り美味しい!
ちょうどいい太さとコシの麵。
讃岐うどんの王道な雰囲気で、毎日食べても食べ飽きなそうなうどんでした。
天ぷらの種類がすごい多いのも楽しい!
おすすめです。

I ordered the “Hiyakake (small)” for 250 yen.
The toppings like green onions, tenkasu (tempura scraps), ginger, and sesame seeds are self-serve.
For hot udon, you also handle boiling the noodles and adding the broth yourself.
Self-service udon at smaller shops can be a bit daunting, but since this place is larger, it seemed fun to try the self-boiling.
The shiny, firm noodles looked delicious, and they were just as tasty as I expected!
The noodles had the perfect thickness and chewiness.
It had the classic Sanuki udon vibe, and I could see myself not getting tired of it even if I ate it every day.
The wide variety of tempura was also a lot of fun!
I highly recommend it.

とろけるコシと喉越しは随一!店員さんも素敵な「大木戸・香川本店」


二軒目は屋島の大木戸さん。
いかにも製麺所がやってますという佇まいが美味しそう!
近くの有名店・「おうどん 瀬戸晴れ」がお昼時なのもあり行列だったので、気になっていたこちらに。
9割ほど席は埋まってましたが、タイミングよく入れました。
うどんはもちろん、店員さんの対応がすごくいい!
店内も明るく気持ちいいです。
お昼時は席が埋まり相席になりがちですが、回転は早めです。

The second place we visited was “Okido” in Yashima.
The exterior had that classic noodle shop look that promised deliciousness!
Since the nearby famous restaurant, “Oudon Setohare,” had a long line during lunchtime, we decided to check this place out, which I had been curious about.
About 90% of the seats were filled, but we managed to get in just in time.
The udon was great, but the staff’s service was excellent too!
The interior was bright and comfortable.
During lunchtime, it tends to get crowded, and you might end up sharing a table, but we didn’t have to wait long to be seated.


注文したのは安定の「ひやかけ」300円。
透明の器が涼しげ!
見た目からつややかで美味しそうな麺は、表面が滑らかなタイプ。
柔らかかと思いきや、しっかりコシがあります。
この麺は他にない…!
イリコの香り高いつゆもしっかり美味しかったです。

I ordered the reliable “Hiyakake” for 300 yen.
The transparent bowl looked refreshing!
The noodles were glossy and looked delicious, with a smooth surface.
They were softer than I expected but still had a great chewiness.
These noodles are truly one of a kind!
The broth, infused with the fragrant aroma of iriko (dried sardines), was also wonderfully flavorful.


いろんなお店を回りたかったので天ぷらは避けていたんですが、見つけてしまった「ちくわ紅生姜天」
これはやばい。
なんで関西で広まってないんだろうと思える完成度。必食です。

I wanted to visit various shops, so I was avoiding tempura, but I stumbled upon “Chikuwa Beni Shoga Ten.”
It was incredibly delicious!
I couldn’t help but wonder why it’s not more popular in Kansai—it was that good.
This is a must-try!

高松駅前といえばここ。小麦の香りがストロングな「めりけんや 高松駅前店」


三軒目は高松駅前の定番「めりけんや」さん。
出張のみなさん御用達!
駅前すぐにあり、席数も多めなのでサクっといただけます。
雰囲気としては丸亀製麺やはなまるうどんなので馴染みやすいですね。
県内の他、大阪や東京にも店舗があります。

The third place we visited was the classic “Merikenya” in front of Takamatsu Station.
It’s a favorite among business travelers!
Located right in front of the station with plenty of seating, it’s perfect for a quick meal.
The atmosphere is similar to Marugame Seimen and Hanamaru Udon, making it easy to feel at home.
They also have locations in Osaka and Tokyo, in addition to those within the prefecture.


うどんは「しょうゆ」(小・360円)。
麺は角がしっかりしたストロングタイプ。
コシもしっかり、小麦の味もがっつりしてました。
しょうゆと言いつつ、おろしとレモン付きが嬉しい仕様。
醤油は卓上にあるのをお好みで。
朝7時オープンなので「朝うどん」にもおすすめです。

Udon is “Shoyu” (small size – 360 yen).
The noodles are a strong type with firm edges.
They have a nice chewy texture and a rich wheat flavor.
Even though it’s called “Shoyu,” it comes with grated daikon and lemon, which is a nice touch.
You can adjust the soy sauce to your liking with the one on the table.
Since they open at 7 AM, it’s also recommended for “morning udon.”

セルフじゃないうどんも食べたいぞ。上質美味しい「本格手打もり家 高松シンボルタワー店」


四軒目は高松駅前にある「本格手打もり家 高松シンボルタワー店」。
本店は高松空港の近くにありますが、高松駅近くのランドマーク「高松シンボルタワー」にも支店があります。
高松市民にも人気なこちら。
誰かを連れて行くならここが間違いない!と高松出身の友人にも聞いた有名店です。
店内のしつらえもオシャレ!

The fourth stop is “Honkaku Teuchi Moriya Takamatsu Symbol Tower Branch,” located in front of Takamatsu Station.
The main store is near Takamatsu Airport, but there’s also a branch at the landmark “Takamatsu Symbol Tower” near Takamatsu Station.
This place is popular even among Takamatsu locals.
If you’re taking someone with you, this is the place you can’t go wrong with! It’s a famous restaurant, as recommended by my friend from Takamatsu.
The interior is also stylish!


注文したのは高松シンボルタワー店限定の「宇和島えそくわと天然えび天のぶっかけ」(1,100円)。
こちらのうどんも美しい!
店内で打ちたてのうどんです。
カウンターに座ったら間近で打っているところを見ながら食べることも。
麺の味わいは、しっかり讃岐を感じるコシもあり、口当たりも喉越しもなめらか。
つゆはあっさりとして、麺を引き立てる感じ。
全体的にとても上等なおうどんを食べてるぞ!という満足感がありました。

I ordered the “Uwajima Eso-Kuwa and Natural Shrimp Tempura Bukkake Udon” (1,100 yen), which is exclusive to the Takamatsu Symbol Tower branch.
The udon here is also stunning!
The noodles are freshly made in the store.
If you sit at the counter, you can even watch them making the noodles up close while you eat.
The taste of the noodles has a firm Sanuki-style chew, with a smooth texture and easy-to-swallow finish.
The broth is light, enhancing the flavor of the noodles.
Overall, I felt a strong sense of satisfaction, as if I was eating top-quality udon.

番外編・イベントで振る舞い讃岐うどん


遊びに行った当日、高松城ではちょうど大きなイベントが開催中。
様々な催しのほか、うどん県らしく振る舞い讃岐うどんも!
うどん旅の〆として行かねばなりません。

On the day I visited, a big event was being held at Takamatsu Castle.
In addition to various attractions, they were also serving Sanuki Udon, as expected from “Udon Prefecture”!
I had to make this the final stop of my udon journey.


五軒目はこちら、振る舞いの讃岐かけうどん。
太めのしっかりした麺に、しっかりダシの効いたつゆ。
全体的にしっかりしたうどんでした。うまし!

The fifth stop is here: served Sanuki Kake Udon.
The thick, firm noodles were paired with a broth rich in dashi flavor.
Overall, it was a robust udon dish. Delicious!

初めての高松うどん旅で出会った、おすすめのうどん店をご紹介しました!
1日に4軒まわって驚いたのは、やっぱりそれぞれのお店の味の違い。
麺の個性が全然違うのにびっくりしました。
まだ見ぬ個性のうどん屋さんもたくさんあるのでしょう…

I’ve introduced the recommended udon shops I visited on my first Takamatsu Udon trip!
What surprised me most after visiting four shops in one day was the distinct differences in flavor at each place.
I was amazed at how unique the noodles were at each shop.
There are surely many more udon shops with their own unique characteristics waiting to be discovered…

When it comes to ordering Sanuki Udon online, Kagawa’s famous Ikegami Seimenjo is a great choice.
I’d love to visit this shop someday as well…
